EHEIM KARBON is particularly suitable for water purification during the  set-up phase of the aquarium. In particular, chlorine from mains water and other chemical substances, which can get into the aquarium during installation, are safely taken up. 
EHEIM KARBON should be used for a short time (ca. 4 weeks) in the layering set-up after the mechanical (e.g. EHEIM MECH or MECHpro) and the biological filter media (e.g. EHEIM SUBSTRATpro) in the net bag provided.

Our plant tongs enable you to work in your aquarium without having to roll up your sleeves. You can place, move or remove plants and other items in the bottom of the tank and even difficult to reach become accessible. Dead leaves or plant stems can be cut off in exactly the right place and removed from the water.

EHEIM Prefilter 

This extra prefilter traps the majority of coarse dirt particles, even before the  water reaches the external filter.  Its base rests securely on the bottom of the aquarium. The water is drawn in all round, over a wide surface area, through the modular filter baskets which can be filled with filter media and easily cleaned and replaced. For cleaning, you simply remove the filter baskets. 

EHEIM reeflexUV reduces microorganisms in the water and eliminates turbidity more efficiently than ever before.  

reeflexUV is yet another typical innovation from EHEIM: due to a built-in reflector the microorganism killing UV-C radiation is significantly increased and whereas in conventional UV-sterilisers the water is directed via detours past the UV-C burner, in the  EHEIM reeflexUV water it takes the direct route. There is no loss of performance, you need less energy and the level of effectiveness is 1.8 times greater.
